13 November 2016 The Christmas Market at The Herb Farm was a pleasure to be at!The weather was excellent, everything was very well organised, and the people - the organisers, the stall-holders and the visitors - were unbelievably good. I had lots of interesting conversations and heard so many exciting stories! Two of my Teddies were adopted - I said tearful goodbyes to Charlie and Donald, as well as some of my Moomins and Funny Bunnies. I am now looking forward to next weekend and the Goring Craft Fair at the Goring Village Hall. Just a reminder: Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November, 10.00 to 16.00. Do come if you are in the area! 12 November Over the past few days, I have made some more Terries for this year's Christmas fairs. So, in alphabetical order, I would like to introduce to you: Archie the button-collecting rebel, Charlie the playful bear with a sweet tooth, and Donald, who loves fast cars and is rumoured to write poetry. Hope to see you at the fairs! 3 November I will be there with my Teddies - hope you
will too!
21 October Getting ready for the Christmas fairs, I have made a new Teddy. His name is Cosmo, he is a bit shy, and he wears a lightbulb on a piece of string round his neck - because he wants to be a lamplighter when he grows up! 20 October I am pleased to let you know that my Teddies and I are going to two Christmas fairs in November. The first will be The Herb Farm Christmas Market at my favourive Herb Farm in Sonning Common - just outside Caversham - on Sunday 13th November, 10.30 to 15.30. The second one is the following weekend, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November, 10.00 to 16.00 at the Goring Village Hall - for details see Goring Craft Fair website. My stall there is the lucky number 13))
19 September I have been quite busy since my return from the summer holiday, both with my millinery duties and with something that I started just recently - making tango skirts, tops and now even trousers! Those of you that way inclined may find the latest news on my new Facebook page, Sasha's Tango Fashions. On top of all that, I have finally managed to complete another Teddy Bear order. This little chap is called Laurence II, and he is on his way to his new home in Wiltshire. 9 July A Teddy-rich April was followed by somewhat less productive months, but I did make one Teddy in May, another in June, and now yet another in July. They were, in chronological order, Kevin the football genius, John the friendly dreamer, and Nic, a jolly bear who enjoys good company. 20 April It has been a Teddy a week so far this month :)The latest one is called Aleksandr. He is an an aspiring poet highly thought of by many critics. Looking at his photo, my Russian friends may well guess which famous poet Aleksandr models himself on :) 11 April Quite a few of the Teddies I have made this year are girl bears. The latest one is called Ellie, and she is a really good listener. When she hears you out and smiles at you, then you know that you really have nothing to worry about :) 4 April Another brand-new Teddy is now ready for adoption! Her name is Rose and she is a bit of a daydreamer. She very much enjoys sitting and watching the clouds in the sky and their shadows on the ground. 20 March I have made two more Teddies to order, and they are now on their way to their new home in the West Country. This means that Britain now has its own Count Rostov :) - he is the tall handsome one. His little friend is called Carol. 5 March While I am making a couple of Teddies to order, I also have another new one to introduce - available for adoption immediately!Christopher is quite unusual in colour but has good old-fashioned tastes: he likes horse racing and bird watching :) 2 March I am very happy to announce that all my Teddies will from now on have a beautiful Sasha's Bears label.I have just received these woven labels, and the colours, as you can see, are a perfect match for the website! 6 February
3 February 2016 My first Teddy of the year, made for a very special baby girl, was completed at the end of last week. His name is Paul and he has both feet (or rather hind paws) firmly on the ground. Paul never wobbles or dithers, he can always be relied upon and often exercises a steadying influence on his many friends. |
