Aleksandr is
an original collectible Teddy Bear

made by me, Sasha
Kleshcheva, in 2016.
He is
made of sparce longpile
brushable mohair His
nose is Aleksandr is an aspiring poet If you
want a bear like Aleksandr but a different colour or size, made-to-order
specially for you. PLEASE
NOTE: This is a collectors' teddy bear for adults and NOT A TOY
and has
English glass eyes.
hand-stitched and waxed
and he also has
hand-stitched mouth and claws.
Aleksandr
has a Sasha's Bears logo
on his hind paw.
He is a proud owner of
a Teddy-Bear Passport
and a Sasha's Bears card.
Aleksandr
is 5½" (14
cm)
tall
and
fully 5-way jointed,
with cotter-pin joints
in
her neck, arms and legs.
Like most of my Teddies,
he is filled with polyfill
and fine woodwool.

T. Bayer, writing in TLS
(Teddies' Literary
Supplement),
recently described his epic poem
Crossing the Bear
as
"...bearing down on your senses
like a grizzly in the fog".
(Don't ask me what he meant.)
When challenged
to find a rhyme for "Teddy",
Aleksandr eschewed the obvious
"ready" or "steady",
and immediately went for "heady".
Looking at Aleksandr's photo,
my Russian friends may well guess
which famous poet
he models himself on :)
Aleksandr was adopted by the very first person who saw him.
