10 December 2013

Three of my Teddies - Geoffrey, Owen and Percy - are off on a long journey all the way to Moscow, where I hope they will be adopted at a New Year charity fair.

The charity is called Dobroserdie (Russian website) and mainly helps children who suffer from cerebral palsy.

The event, Dushevny Bazar (which means Heart-Warming Bazaar), is held at the Sokolniki park on 15 December, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  If you are in Moscow at the time, do drop in at Pavillion 4!

Merry Christmas to you all!

14 November

Preparing for Christmas Market I am spending the evening preparing for tomorrow's Christmas Market in Tilehurst, Reading.

I will be taking with me my Teddies and felted bears, as well as my wool craft, winter hats and ear warmers.

Wish me luck
!...

1 November

Some of my Teddies got a bit bored staying with us all the time and said they needed a change of scenery.
So today I obliged and took Alan, Albert, Brian, Frederick, Jessica, Luke and Ralph to The Blue Duck Gallery in Caversham.
If you want to say hello to all or any of them, or even adopt one or two, do drop in!

18 October

Time has finally come for me to properly present to you all, three bears who have been around for months and months. The reason I could not do this earlier is that... well, lets us just say that they were away on a top secret mission.

Albert, Brian and the Littl'un are all alpaca bears; the first two are proper 5-way jointed Teddies made mainly from alpaca mohair, while the last one is a toy bear made of pinstripe woollen fabric; all three are stuffed with alpaca wool. Oh yes, and Albert (aka Don Alberto Alpacino) can growl too!

26 September

Today I finished a special Teddy bear as a present for a very special person.
Nigel the polka-dot bear is an artist and a gourmet :)

18 September

After a long gap, I am happy to announce the arrival of a new Teddy. His name is Ralph, he is a student and he would love to be adopted!

15 September 2013

Margaret drinking tea in the garden I have not made any new Teddies for quite a while but I promise I have not been idle. Well, not all the time :)

Today I made a new garment for one of my favourites: Margaret is now sporting a beautiful lace bonnet.

Wearing it, she now feels much better while drinking her tea in the garden...
