Sophie is an original collectible Teddy Bear
hand made by me, Sasha Kleshcheva, in 2018.

She is made of traditional short-pile mohair
with cotton inserts on her paws and inside ears.

She has English glass eyes,
a hand-stitched waxed nose, a hand-stitched mouth...

...and claws, as well as a special Sasha's Bears label on her paw.

Sophie is a serious little bear
with an inquiring mind.
Some may even find her stare
a bit unnerving.

Yet I know that Sophie
doesn't mean to be impolite.
She simply has to observe,
in order to find out
why things are this way
and not that way.

Sophie is 5½" (14.5 cm) tall
and fully 5-way jointed,
with cotter-pin joints
in his neck, arms and legs.
He is a proud owner of a label
with Sasha's Bears logo,
and a Teddy-Bear Passport.

Sophie was adopted in Moscow as an 80th birthday present.
