Recent patients at Sasha’s
Teddy Bear
Hospital have mostly been bears, though I also had one
well-known donkey. Some had holes, some had lost limbs, eyes or a tail,
and in
one case most of the head was missing - necessitating some pretty
unique
reconstructive surgery...

As Lord Byron said, I
awoke one morning and found myself famous)) There is a
full-page
feature
on Sasha's
Teddy Bear Hospital
in the Daily Express today!
A big thank-you to the author and journalist Vanessa
Holburn, who found me, got in touch, and wrote a wonderful
piece, making sure to get everything absolutely right.
Talking to Vanessa over a cup of tea was a real pleasure, and so,
unexpectedly, was the photo shoot.
Modelling is not usually my forte)), but with excellent professional
guidance (and support from all my Teddies) we did quite well, I think.
In fact, it all went so well that I was not even ashamed to send the
paper to all four of my children))

21 November
It was such a pleasure to be at
the Goring
Craft Fair again this year, all the more so after the
inevitable disappontment of last year's cancellation.
As
always, there were old friends to meet, new friends to make, everyone
milling about, and the organisers doing a brilliant job (and bringing
tea to keep us warm into the bargain)!
There was a lot of interest in Sasha's
Teddy Bear Hospital, and some of my Teddies found good new
homes.
And so, on leaving, all the remaining ones fitted neatly into one
battered but venerable trunk.
I do hope to be here again next year!

Two more Teddies are ready to go to the Goring
Craft Fair
with me later this week.
Barnaby
(on the left) is an avid theatre goer who never misses the first night
- always wearing his elegant waistcoat and a bow tie.
His favourite playwright is Bearthold Bearcht.
Chester
(right) is a kind and gentle bear a bit short on self-confidence.
Keen on
Ancient History, he loves to listen to the adventures of Teddysseus (as
recorded by
Homebear).
If the story gets too scary, he sometimes hides under his blanket.

28 October
I have just made a brand new
little bear called Grayson.
He is very keen on open-top vintage cars and wants to be a racing
driver.
I wonder if I should let him drive me to this year's Goring
Craft Fair at the Goring Village Hall?
I will be going there with all my Teddies on 20th and 21st November,
and I hope to see you!
18 October
Although work at Sasha's
Teddy Bear Hospital
is unquestionably my main focus now,
I thought it was time to make another new Teddy.
And so I am now very pleased to introduce Kendrick.
He is an intelligent and inquisitive little bear, who likes reading
about far-away places and distinguished bears.
He also likes to make things, especially if the process involves the
use of Very Sharp Scissors.
The nice suede vest which he now proudly wears all the time was made
with an invaluable - though sometimes alarming - contribution
from Kendrick himself.

10 October
Some of the recent patients at Sasha’s
Teddy Bear
Hospital saw quite a transformation in the course of their
treatment.
4 October
The patients who made a full
recovery at Sasha’s
Teddy Bear
Hospital in recent months included Effie the Elephant, Dodric
the Dog and, of course, quite a few bears.
