Charles is a one-of-a-kind collectable Teddy Bear
hand made by me, Sasha Kleshcheva, in 2022.
He is 16" (42 cm) tall and fully 5-way jointed, with cotter-pin joints
in his neck, arms and legs.

Charles is made of lovely and soft long-pile brushable mohair.
He is filled with polyfill, fine woodwool and glass beads,
and has a growler fitted.

He has English glass eyes, a hand-stitched waxed nose,
and hand-stitched mouth...

...and claws, as well as a special Sasha's Bears label on his paw.

Charles is a serious bear
with an avid interest in cones*.

His collection
of fir, spruce, pine, cedar,
larch and hemlock cones
is the most comprehensive
in the bear world.

Yet he always growls
about cypress cones,
strongly expressing the view
that they are not cones at all
on account of their shape.

Charles was adopted in December 2022.
He is moving to New Zealand,
where I am sure he will add many new cones to his collection.
I just wonder what New Zealand traffic cones look like...
